BOLT, Brown Outdoor Leadership Training, is the only outdoor orientation program in the country specifically for rising college sophomores, transfer students and resumed undergraduate students. It is a space created to foster community, mentorship, personal reflection, and leadership in the outdoors and back at Brown. BOLT commences with a five day backpacking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire right before school starts. It continues throughout the fall semester with group get-togethers, leadership development workshops, and BOLT community events that are all part of our new and improved Fall Program.
This year’s backpacking trip will take place August 27th – 31st. You will need to be on campus by August 26th if you are accepted to the program.
